This article shows how to install PHP 5.2.14 on Server 2003. The installation allows MSJC students to create their own websites using PHP and use FTP to update their files. By doing so, students will have a hands on experience and will be prepared for the real life challenges and accomplishments when building a website with PHP. In a future article I will show how to install MySQL on the same server and how to configure it to work with PHP.

There has been a lot of discussion about the most efficient ways to use Blackboard. Here, I am going to post a few videos on some of the things that I do to make my life much easier. If you have any suggestions or things you do please let me know. It would be nice to post them.
Grading Offline:

One of the biggest pains to me is using the grade book. The constant refreshing of the screen and the cumbersome way things are laid out simply make using it online extremely difficult. This first video shows how to download the assignments and sections of the grade book so that you can do your grading anywhere, even when there isn’t an Internet connection

This is the first in a series of videos planned. Please post any comments or suggestions.
